Current Scope of Practice
Ms. Olivia Ekeke is a first generation Nigerian American and a first-generation attorney. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Ekeke gained valuable experience working at one of the largest foundations in Texas, where she led its public health investments. Through her work with the foundation, she developed a strong understanding of financial management and nonprofit development. This unique background enhances her ability to navigate complex legal matters for her clients.
Ms. Ekeke is passionate about health disparities and ending the criminalization of people of color, and those experiencing poverty. Her academic journey began at the University of North Texas. She went on to receive a Master’s degree from Texas A&M University, and a Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law Houston.
She joined Walters Balido & Crain, as a Summer Associate during law school. After a successful summer with the firm, she became an Associate Attorney in the firm’s Houston office. Olivia represents the best interests of her clients in a wide variety of litigation areas including insurance disputes, tort defense, trucking and automobile litigation, personal injury defense, and negligence.
Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys spending time with her family and dog, home décor, solo traveling, Afrobeat concerts, and cheering on the Houston Rockets!
